About us
Our Director and Head Monumental Mason, Peter Darroch, worked on the consulting board to introduce the Australian Standard (AS4204-1994) for the construction of headstones and cemetery monuments. Peter has also previously consulted on TAFE trade requirements for Monumental Masonry course components. He brings over 50 years of industry experience to Globe Memorial Co Pty Ltd.
In addition, Globe Memorial Company was a founding member of the NSW Monumental Masons Association, over which Peter presided for 5 years. Peter’s son, Globe’s Manager and lead Monumental Mason, Glenn Darroch, is currently the president in his second concurrent year. Glenn brings 25 years of industry experience to Globe.

Our team
We employ skilled tradespeople and run a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Auburn NSW. Granite products are supplied directly to cemeteries, independent masons and funeral directors, NSW wide and interstate. Custom manufacturing, repairs and refurbishments take place here along with memorial pre-fabrication, inscription sandblasting and finishing.
Custom CAD designs, lettering, art and photo etchings are also produced here in our designated Design department headed by our own Graphic Designer. Globe Memorial Company caters to all nationalities, religions and cultures and can provide lettering in all languages.
We also operate a sales office and showroom in Lidcombe close to Rookwood Cemetery and Lidcombe railway station where we assist our retail clients.
Globe offers free quotations on all memorials and can arrange to meet you on-site in Sydney if required.
